Middle Caicos ferry - fast and nice
Middle Caicos ferry is foranyone. If you're of an adventurous frame of mind, and have time to spare, you can revert to the mode of transportation that islanders used before the advent of air travel: Middle Caicos ferry and the traditional mailboats.
Although fast, modern, air-conditioned Middle Caicos ferry now make some of the trips, some of the more remote destinations are still served by slow, old-fashioned craft with few amenities. Within the $loc ferry, it has the most, and most comfortable, options for island-hopping, that offer food and beverages served by cabin attendants.

Middle Caicos ferry - a good transportation choice
Easy to get to by plane, a 15 minute flight, or by boat tour, the island is also linked by a weekend ferry service to North Caicos. The Dale Marie is a weekend ferry between Bottle Creek, North Caicos and Middle Caicos. Runs Saturday morning 8:00 am from Middle through early afternoon. 30 minute ride, carries 1-2 vehicles. Friday eve and Sundays by appointment. Before this year, you could only get back and forth between North and Middle Caicos by flying, or taking a ferryboat, between the two islands. The ferry used to be the only way that high school students from Middle Caicos could get to Raymond Gardiner High School in North Caicos. The new road is a hot topic of conversation here. It is referred to by locals as “The Lifeline of the Islands,” although technically it isn’t finished yet. The barely traveled, un-paved causeway looks as pristine as a main road possibly could, and is surrounded on either side by beautiful sea. The world’s first attractive causeway has a dusty pale road, and is flanked by two-foot high rock piles on either side to keep erosion at bay.
